The project aims to capacity strengthen five Swazi CBOs, as well as improve their prospects for successful advocacy in 27 local communities in Swaziland. In addition to this, the project aims to improve the knowledge and understanding of democracy and socio-economical rights of the rural population. This will be acheived by e.g. democracy-, human rights-, and women's rights education, and by improving the democratic structures of the five CBOs and contributing to the development of an improved understanding of the nature of democracy in the country as a whole. The target groups of the project are the five CBOs and the population of the 27 local communities, a total of 15.922 individuals.
