International Conference

Political violence, discriminatory legislation, and patriarchal attitudes are important challenges to women’s political participation. At the conference civil society actors and researchers will address barriers and develop recommendations to strengthen women’s  participation and influence in countries in transition in North and Sub-Saharan Africa.

As part of the international campaign 16 days of activism against gender violence, Africa Contact, Gendernet and the Danish Institute for Human Rights have the pleasure of inviting you to a conference about barriers and options for women’s political participation during periods of transition in Sub-Saharan and North Africa.
